iCore contributed to the IOT/Cloud session at the 4th EU-Japan Symposium on New Generation Networks and Future Internet, which took place on 19^thJanuary 2012 in Tokyo (presentations from that event can be found at http://www.prime-pco.com/4thJEUsymposium/program_e.html). The Symposium was held in the light of a future joint EU-Japan research call for proposals where IOT/Cloud will be an important subject. The IoT / Cloud session focused on the combination of Cloud and Internet of Things technologies and investigation in the development of cloud-based service platforms taking into account the IoT perspectives on massive data storage and communication needs in the cloud for the execution of real-time services.
